Sven Hühn

How/why did you become a photographer?

Hühn: My wife encouraged me 2 years ago to pursue my passion for photography, and I’m glad she did. To this day I love it more and more, and I’ve been snapping ever since.

What is the story behind the photos you’ve submitted?

Hühn: They reflect the diversity and colors of my city. They are a snapshot of the life I live here in Wiesmoor.

Do you have a specific theme or topic that is the focus of your photography?

Hühn: I love street photography. I like to photograph people in action whether that be people working, walking, or talking. I also like to shoot  sports.

What have you gained/experienced while working with this topic?

Hühn: I have become more open in my dealings with strangers. This has proven to be a very helpful element because strangers are a part of everyday life.

What’s the most spontaneous thing you’ve ever done to get the perfect shot?

Hühn: One thing I never usually do. I asked a stranger for a portrait and it turns out, that’s the best shot I’ve ever taken.

Tell us something about yourself that most people wouldn’t notice about you.

Hühn: There’s nothing, I’m too open and honest.

What’s a piece of advice you would offer to other photographers to encourage their creativity?

Hühn: Go to photograph with less equipment. Be as raw and natural as possible. I find that my photos turn out better that way.

What do you hope to achieve in the future with your photography career?

Hühn: That’s a good question! I would really like to see my photos at some exhibitions one day, but the biggest goal for me is to make people happy with my photos.

We at Bokeh Focus find Hühn’s photography to be dramatic, intense, and amazing! We’re so glad to be able to feature him and his work. Sven, congratulations again on a job well done, and we hope to see your photography in an exhibit in the future!
