Kevin Liljegren: June Photographer of the Month

Kevin Liljegren, a photographer from Stockholm, Sweden, is Bokeh Focus’ June Photographer of the Month. Liljegren’s photograph received the most votes among three other nominees. He previously won Photographer of the Week during the second week of June.
We interviewed Liljegren to share his advice and experiences with the greater Bokeh Focus community. He spoke of the importance in appreciate your own aesthetic, stating “Everyone has their own style, so even if your photos are not like others, there are many who will like your style.”

What is the story behind the photos you’ve submitted?

Liljegren: I have my camera with me wherever I go.
Do you have a specific theme or topic that is the focus of your photography?
Liljegren: Street photography is my favorite.
What have you gained/experienced while working with this topic?
Liljegren: A lot, but above all, it’s my therapy to go out and shoot.
Tell us something about yourself that most people wouldn’t notice about you.
Liljegren: I’ve always liked street art and I draw a lot of graffiti.
What’s a piece of advice you would offer to other photographers to encourage their creativity?
Liljegren: Everyone has their own style, so even if your photos are not like others, there are many who will like your style. So run keep doing what you do!
