How to Be Our Photographer of the Month

Timeline

10th of each month: Voting opens — for the previous month’s submissions in the “Vote Here” highlight — at 12 a.m.ET and closes on the 15th at 11:59 p.m.ET.

27th of each month: Winners of Photographer of the Month — for the previous month — will be announced on @Bokeh_Focus and BokehFocus.org.

How it works

You tag us @bokeh_focus on your Instagram posts and/or stories to be entered _ remember the underscore.1

You can submit as many pictures as you would like throughout the month!

All tagged photos will be available for viewing & voting under our @bokeh_focus Instagram highlight titled “Vote Here.”2

Voting Process: Each swipe by our followers on the stories and highlights counts as one vote for the Photographer of the Month winners.3

First-place winner for Photographer of the Month’s photography will be featured:

on @bokeh_focus Instagram with a post and a story.

on our website with a gallery of their work and an interview on BokehFocus.org!

Second and third-place winners will be featured in an Instagram story and post.

Winners will be contacted by the Bokeh Focus photography editor.4

What you need to do

Vote on @bokeh_focus Instagram under the highlight titled “Vote Here”

TO BE FEATURED WHEN YOU ARE SELECTED AS A WINNER

On the 16th of the month ►check your Instagram messages for a message from us!

If you are the first-place or second-place winner you will receive a link and a password to our photographer interview form.

Fill out the interview form no later than the 20th of the month so we can write a feature story about you for our Instagram post and story AND publish your interview on our website, BokehFocus.org!4

Guidelines

1 You must be following us and tagging us to be entered to win.

2 All photos tagged during the previous month are in the “Vote Here” highlight.

3 All voters must be following us for their votes to be counted.

4 If any winner does not respond in the required timeline, the next runner-up will be selected for their award.

Repost policy: Your photos will be reviewed by the Bokeh Focus editor. They will not be reposted for voting if deemed hateful, vulgar, or obscene.
